How on earth did Christmas sneak up on me so soon?!? LOL Mind you, I'm feeling very bah humbug this year. Probably something to do with being so ill lately and the house severely lacking in any Christmas decorations whatsoever. I had such grand plans for our first Christmas in the Mountains AND some really grand plans for this blog, but it's all amounted to naught as I have barely had the energy to scratch myself let alone bring my grand plans to fruition!!!
But enough of my griping! It's Christmas and I want to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a very blessed New Year. May love abound for you all during this wonderful time. :D
(If you've been checking lately, sorry about the strange blog background graphics. I had it drafted, but it didn't work properly! Oh, and stay tuned next week for a bit of a revamp and finally some good news!)

Monday Giggles
It's another Monday morning so another episode of Monday Giggles is here. :D
I was shown this video a couple of weeks ago by a work colleague and it is one of the cutest videos I've ever seen. It's so catchy too, you'll be singing it all day. LOL

9 Years and Counting
Today marks our 9 year wedding anniversary. 9 years! One more until the big 10. Wow.
Although it doesn't feel like we just got married yesterday (that's NOT a negative statement by the way LOL), the time certainly has passed in a flash. Our relationship is based on God's love and values, a lot of fun and laughter and lots of love. I'm not going to say it's an absolutely perfect relationship, but it's pretty close! :D
So, what did we do today to celebrate? We headed over to the mega spiffy hotel, Lillianfels for High Tea of course!!
Oh yeah! Doesn't this just look divine?!? LOL
Here's a close up of the bottom tier:
Middle tier:
And finally the top tier:
We did have a bit of an interloper called Claude, which we found out from his name tag as he didn't introduce himself. Thankfully though, he didn't interrupt us at all and just sat there quietly observing our antics. He was pretty sweet as he gave great cuddles. LOL
Even though it was very expensive for a couple of finger sandwiches, some scones and petit fours, we both think it was worth every cent to be spoilt! Mind you, we've pretty much been spoiling ourselves for the past two weeks, but more on that another time.
Luv ya heaps Gus! And look forward to our tenth anniversary next year, and many, many more years to come! :D

Monday Giggles
I love sarcasm. Australians in general are very good at sarcasm. The problem is that sarcasm can too easily be misunderstood and taken as an offensive insult rather than just a gentle ribbing, taunt or cynical remark. Having said this it's often foreigners to Australian soil that find us rude when we're only being [humourously] sarcastic!
I usually mean no insult when I'm being sarcastic (well, maybe just a little, but it depends on who I'm talking to! :D), and more often than not, I'm just teasing or it's self-deprecating, and most of the time to try and get a laugh. Yes, sarcasm is my sense of humour. LOL
When I'm not being sarcastic, I love reading sarcastic quotes. This is what I've got for you today on Monday Giggles. I hope you enjoy them!
Oh, before I go, if you want to learn how to be sarcastic, see THIS tutorial. Heh heh.
Enjoy!
"No, Groucho is not my real name. I'm breaking it in for a friend." Groucho Marx
"If you find it hard to laugh at yourself, I'd be happy to do it for you." Groucho Marx
"I find television very educating. Everytime somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book." Groucho Marx
"Some cause happiness wherever they go, some whenever they go." Oscar Wilde
"You have delighted us long enough." Jane Austen
"He has Van Gogh's ear for music." Billy Wilder
"Man is the only animal than can remain on friendly terms with the victims he intends to eat until he eats them." Samuel Butler
"Nothing fixes a thing so intensely in memory as the wish to forget it." Montaigne
"A narcissist is someone better looking than you are." Gore Vidal
"A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory." Steven Wright
"If at first you don't succeed, try something easier." Sarcasm Society
"It's never too late to go wrong." Sarcasm Society
"They worship the ground that he walks away from." Sarcasm Society
"Sometimes the road less travelled is less travelled for a reason." Seinfeld
"If you don't read the paper you are uninformed. If you do read the paper you are misinformed." Mark Twain
"Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright before they speak." Anonymous
"Support bacteria - they're the only culture some people have." Anonymous
"I think, therefore we have nothing in common." Anonymous
"Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot." Anonymous

Monday Giggles
From the mouths of babes.
Enjoy!!
Little Susie, a six-year-old, came home from school whining, "Mommy, I've got a stomach ache."
"That's because your stomach is empty," her mother replied. "You'd feel better if you had something in it." She gave Susie a snack and sure enough, Susie felt better right away.
That afternoon a family friend dropped by. While she was chatting with Susie's mom, she mentioned she'd had a bad headache all day long.
Susie perked up. "That's because it's empty," she said. "You'd feel better if you had something in it."

A little boy was attending his first wedding.
After the service, his cousin asked him, "How many women can a man marry?"
"Sixteen," the boy responded. His cousin was amazed that he had an answer so quickly.
"How do you know that?"
"Easy," the little boy said. "All you have to do is add it up, like the Bishop said, 4 better, 4 worse, 4 richer, 4 poorer."

After a church service on Sunday morning, a young boy suddenly announced to his mother, "Mom, I've decided to become a minister when I grow up."
"That's okay with us, but what made you decide that?"
"Well," said the little boy, "I have to go to church on Sunday anyway, and I figure it will be more fun to stand up and yell, than to sit and listen."

A Sunday School teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?"
One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."

A little girl became restless as the preacher's sermon dragged on and on. Finally, she leaned over to her mother and whispered,
"Mommy, if we give him the money now, will he let us go?"

Terri asked her Sunday School class to draw pictures of their favorite Bible stories. She was puzzled by Kyle's picture, which showed four people on an airplane, so she asked him which story it was meant to represent.
"The Flight to Egypt," was his reply.
Pointing at each figure, Ms. Terri said, "That must be Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. But who's the fourth person?"
"Oh, that's Pontius - the pilot!"

A college drama group presented a play in which one character would stand on a trap door and announce, "I descend into hell!"
A stagehand below would then pull a rope, the trapdoor would spring, and the actor would drop from view.
The play was well received. When the actor playing the part became ill, another actor who was quite overweight took his place. When the new actor announced, "I descend into hell!" the stagehand pulled the rope, and the actor began his plunge, but became hopelessly stuck. No amount of tugging on the rope could make him descend.
One student in the balcony jumped up and yelled: "Hallelujah! Hell is full!"

A little boy was in a relative's wedding.
As he was coming down the aisle, he would take two steps, stop, and turn to the crowd. While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar.
So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR, all the way down the aisle.
As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard by the time he reached the pulpit.
When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said, "I was being the Ring Bear."

A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination, looking at the old pages as he turned them.
Then something fell out of the Bible. He picked it up and looked at it closely.
It was an old leaf from a tree that has been pressed in between the pages.
"Mama, look what I found," the boy called out.
"What have you got there, dear?" his mother asked.
With astonishment in the young boy's voice he answered, "It's Adam 's suit!".

Where's Winnie?
I know you must be wondering Where is Winnie lately?!?!, so this is just a quick post to tell you that all is not well in the Winnitude world.
Firstly, my bodyclock is all out of whack. I usually get like this during the change of seasons. It seems that my body adjusts to daylight savings time about a month before it's actually applied - so for about a month, my body is totally confused and completely stuffed. One more week to go. I think we change to daylight savings time next weekend. Yay. The other reason my body clock is out of whack is due to the fact that I've somehow developed an awful habit of getting home after work, having dinner, falling asleep in the recliner (usually with a dog on my lap. Or two.), waking up at midnight and freaking out 'cause I've done nothing all night but sleep. Then by the time I've fluffed around, it's 2am and I'm trying to shut my mind down and go to sleep. Only to have to wake up again at 5am to get ready to go to work and the routine starts all over again. On the days I don't work, I'm so knackered that I end up sleeping all day, and then wondering where all the time has gone and why I haven't accomplished anything. Sigh. This September seems to have been a wasted month with very little accomplished.
The second reason I haven't been around is that I've been struggling with a stomach virus for all of last week. I get bad bacteria in my stomach from time to time, but it normally doesn't last 6 days. I don't like doctors, so I didn't go to see one until Saturday when I couldn't stand going to the toilet every 2 hours any longer. The doctor gave me FOUR GIGANTIC tablets to take ALL AT ONCE!!!!! Well, all at once meaning to take them at the one time, not literally all at once. I think I would have choked. Or suffocated. Or both. By Sunday morning I was feeling okay and could actually eat something without it coming out the other end (sorry, I know that's a bit too much information, but I'm just presenting facts!). Good thing too as I went to see Wicked and had to sit for three hours!
(Oh, and Wicked was ABSOLUTELY FANTABULISTICALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More on that at a later date.)
The third reason I haven't been around is because of various events I've had to attend. It's Spring. There is an event or function that I *have* to attend almost every weekend. I hate having to travel all the way to Sydney events, although they are enjoyable once I get there, but the travelling really tires me out. The local events are the best. So close, so different, so enjoyable. :D There's still lots to do!
Finally, the fourth reason why I haven't been around is because I've had to stay off the internet due to the fact that I've pretty much maxed out our broadband limit this month. I've been downloading digital crafting goodies like there's no tomorrow, forgetting that I'm not in the city anymore and as such, do not have access to any *affordable* unlimited broadband plans. Bu**er. Only a few more days until the limit is reset and I'll be back to haunt you. Bwahahahahaha!
(Yes, the lack of sleep has completely fried my brain. Completely.)
Oh, and sorry for the not-so-quick-post. You know how I like to ramble. LOL

Monday Giggles
Today I present to you some random thoughts on life.
Enjoy!
- Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
- Forget the health food. I need all the preservatives I can get.
- Blessed are those who hunger and thirst, for they are sticking to their diets.
- You're getting old when you get the same sensation from a rocking chair that you once got from a roller coaster.
- One of life's mysteries is how a two pound box of candy can make you gain five pounds.
- God put me on earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind, I will live forever.
- It's frustrating when you know all the answers, but nobody bothers to ask you the questions.
- If you can remain calm, you just don't have all the facts.
- Stress reducer; Put a bag on your head. Mark it "closed for remodeling." *Caution - leave air holes.
- I finally got my head together, and my body fell apart.
- There cannot be a crisis this week; my schedule is already full.
- The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing in the right place, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
- Time may be a great healer, but it's also a lousy beautician.
- The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight shoes.
- Brain cells come and brain cells go, but fat cells live forever.
- The nice part of living in a small town is that when I don't know what I'm doing, someone else does.
- The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat are really good friends.
- Age doesn't always bring wisdom. Sometimes age comes alone.
- Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.
- You don't stop laughing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop laughing.
- I don't mind the rat race, but I could do with a little more cheese.
- I had to give up jogging for my health. My thighs kept rubbing together and setting my pants on fire.
- Amazing! You just hang something in your closet for a while and it shrinks two sizes.
- It is bad to suppress laughter; it goes back down and spreads to your hips.
- Age is important only if you're cheese.
Off to get a paper bag . . . LOL

Antique Store Fun!
I admit it. I've never really been interested in antiques or second-hand goods, so have tended to stay away from such stores or markets. On the weekend however, I discovered that I have been completely depriving myself of the fun and enjoyment which comes from browsing antique stores!
We've been looking for a round mirror to go above our fireplace and we figured Antique stores might be a good place to start as we don't really want a modern looking one. So we headed up to Blackheath to the large Antique store there. Wowsers! The store was filled from floor to ceiling with loads of wonderful goodies! Furniture, homewares, knick-knacks, clothing - everything (and more!) was represented. It was awesome!
We flipped through old 80s records, exalting and cringing accordingly. Gus came across an old Canon camera and spent some time trying to figure out how it worked. We paged through tattered books on Signal Flags and Anatomy from the 1930s and 40s. I gingerly fingered some absolutely gorgeous dresses from the 1950s. We laughed at fluoro-orange furniture and homewares from the 1960s. We puzzled over the function of unusual items. We marvelled at 100 year old guns, wondering if they still worked.
Three hours later, we stumble out of the shop, exhausted! We didn't find a mirror, but I did get this gorgeous box/travel case.
Gus thought that I matched the case with my vintage looking hat, scarf and cardigan, so I made him take a photo. What do you think? I can just picture myself standing at a railway station waiting for the old steam train to take me to places unknown!! LOL
The actual antiquity of the box/case is definitely up for debate, but it doesn't bother me one iota. It's beautiful as is and it makes a fantastic place to store my mini-books. If I ever make enough to fill it that is. LOL
I wish I could show you all the other items we looked at but unfortunately photography was not allowed and there were security cameras all over the shop. :( Never mind. I'm sure you can imagine it!

50 Reasons Why You Should Eat Chocolate
Mmmm . . . off to find some chocolate now!
*hugs*
50 Reasons Why You Should Eat Chocolate
- A chocolate bar is better than a gold bar (and cheaper!!).
- A day without chocolate is a day without sunshine.
- A little too much chocolate is just about right.
- A nice box of chocolate provides your total daily intake of calories in one place. Isn't that handy?
- All a woman needs is a little love and a lot of chocolate.
- All things are better with chocolate.
- Always keep a smile on your face, a rainbow in your heart, and some chocolate on hand.
- An apple a day goes down much better if it's covered in chocolate, caramel and nuts.
- Anything tastes better dipped in chocolate.
- Biochemically, love is just like eating large amounts of chocolate. -- John Milton, The Devils Advocate
- Breaking a candy bar into little pieces, splits all the calories, rendering them harmless.
- Chocolate doesn't make the world go around ... but it certainly makes the ride worthwhile!
- Chocolate... Here today... Gone today.
- Chocolate is an antidepressant, which is especially useful as you start to gain weight.
- Chocolate is cheaper than therapy and you don't need an appointment.
- Chocolate is nature's way of making up for Mondays.
- Chocolate may not reduce stress but at least having your mouth full will keep you from saying something you'll regret.
- Chocolate reduces stress and it's so much quieter than throwing a screaming fit.
- Chocolate shrinks clothes, so get chocolate and a new wardrobe!
- Chocolate-covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you like.
- Dark chocolate is very rich, so enjoy it because it may be the closest to rich you ever get.
- Don't do drugs... eat chocolate!
- Eat a chocolate before each meal. It will take the edge off your appetite and you will eat less.
- Eat chocolate. You never know when it is your last chance!
- Equal parts of dark chocolate and white chocolate make a balanced diet.
- Exercise is a dirty word... Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate.
- God sends no stress that prayer and chocolate cannot handle!
- Don't drown your sorrows; Suffocate them with chocolate chip cookies!
- If at first you don't succeed, have a chocolate!
- If not for chocolate, there would be no need for control top pantyhose.
- If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, it may be a sign of a deeper problem.
- If you eat chocolate in the forest and no one sees, do the calories count?
- If you get melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.
- In the beginning, the Lord created chocolate, and He saw that it was good. Then He separated the light from the dark, and it was better.
- Inside many of us is a thin person screaming and struggling to get out, but she can usually be sedated with a few pieces of chocolate.
- It's never too early or too late for chocolate.
- Laughter is good for you, so have a Snickers bar.
- Money can't buy love, but it can buy chocolate.
- Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way at least you will get one thing done.
- Rationally chocolate is healthy. The rationalization: Chocolate is derived from cacao beans and beans are vegetables. Sugar is derived from either sugar cane or sugar beets, which are plants, placing them in the vegetable category. Thus chocolate is a vegetable. To go one step further, chocolate candy bars also contain milk, which is a dairy product. All in all, chocolate bars are a real health food!
- Save Earth. It's the only planet with chocolate.
- Seven days without chocolate makes one weak.
- Ten best ways to relieve stress: 1. Eat a handful of chocolate. 2. Repeat 9 times.
- Ten excuses for eating chocolate: 1) I love it! 2) I love it! 3) I love it! 4) I love it! 5) I love it! 6) I love it! 7) I love it! 8) I love it! 9) I love it! 10) I love it! On the other hand, who needs an excuse??
- The best over-the-counter prescription to perk you up is chocolate.
- The best way to end the day could only be the chocolate way.
- The calories in white chocolate are negative and cancel out the positive calories in dark chocolate.
- The future is uncertain. Eat your chocolate first.
- There are two food groups: Chocolate and fruit. And if it is fruit, it should be dipped in chocolate.
- When life gets you down and nothing is going right, you always have a friend ... in chocolate.
Mmmm . . . off to find some chocolate now!

The image you *think* you project to the world may not necessarily be the image that people see.
I had an interesting conversation with a work colleague today that had me realise the image I was projecting at work wasn't necessarily the image that some people saw of me. It was a bit of a shock to the system to know my image was now "tarnished". LOL But maybe that's a good thing that this colleague saw a bit of the "real me". I'm not sure I will open up completely, but at least with him, I can relax my guard a bit?!? Who knows?

Severe PMS should not be taken lightly.
I suffer badly from PMS. Not just the emotional symptoms but the debilitating psychological and physical symptoms too. Cramps, tiredness/lethargy, aches and pains, headaches etc. Maybe I need help if it's this severe? Hiding away once a month might not be the perfect solution, but it helps. LOL

Check all settings on the camera BEFORE taking photos.
I was playing around with my new macro lens when I noticed a symbol I hadn't seen before on the camera display.
Puzzled Winnie: What's this symbol mean, Gus?
Stricken Gus: Uh oh. That's the manual white balance.
More Puzzled Winnie: Erm . . . why is it on manual white balance and what effect will that have on the gazillion photos I just took?
Sheepish Gus: I was playing with the camera last night and set the manual white balance for indoors. It means all your photos will have a blue tinge.
Anguished Winnie: You're kidding, right!?! Tell me it can be fixed?!?!
Sad Gus: Um . . . no, it can't be fixed because the camera wasn't set up to take RAW photos so I can't really fix the photos.
Gobsmacked Winnie: ..........

READ ALL DIALOGUE BOXES CAREFULLY BEFORE CLICKING THE "OK" BUTTON!!!!!!
Thank goodness I married an IT guy who has the foresight to create numerous back-ups of all our data as I managed to delete whole folders off our computer AND my laptop. Twice. Sigh.

An achievement no matter how small is still an achievement.
I managed to complete my very first digi layout COMPLETELY IN PHOTOSHOP!!! This is exciting for me as I've previously used a programme called Scrapbook Factory. It's a great programme but a little limited in what it can do. I've picked up a lot of knowledge of Photoshop through various readings, but just hadn't sat myself down to play with it yet. I did so today and managed to create THIS layout, so I was pretty chuffed! :D

Sometimes the most pleasurable things in life are free.
A gorgeously sunny and cloudless, mild early spring day.
New shoots on trees that have been bare all autumn/winter.
Relaxing in our very own "holiday house".
Playing with the dogs and enjoying a nap in the sun WITHOUT the prying eyes of neighbours on all sides.
Going for an exploratory walk with the dogs along some fire trails close to home.
All the above on one day?!?
PRICELESS!!! :D LOL
Sunday, 12 September 2010
Some things definitely are just as good, if not better, the second time around.
I saw Wicked again today. Even though there were two different actors playing the lead roles, it was still as awesome as the first time. Not quite as magical, but only because I knew what was going to happen next. I still loved the music, I still loved the costumes and I still loved the story. What more could I ask for?
Erm. Perhaps seeing it AGAIN in two weeks time?!? LOL
That's the wrap-up for the second week of September. Did you learn as much as I did?!? :D Come back next Sunday for a wrap-up of the lessons learnt in Week 3. Hopefully I will have put all the lessons into a mini-album by then!! :D

One More Sleep!!!!
One more sleep until Wicked. Again. Yay!!!
Oh, and did I tell you that after this show, I'm going to see it FOR A THIRD TIME on September 26th?!?!
My wonderful hubby has agreed to go tomorrow (which was SUPPOSED to be the last show - don't ask, it was a HUGE debacle) as well as the [absolute] Final Show on the 26th. Isn't he just the best?!?!? :D
So, just repeating. One more sleep until Wicked. Then another 14 more sleeps until the final Wicked. YAY!!!!!!!!
I'm not obsessed. No, no!
......
Okay, okay, so maybe I am. Just a little. LOL

TILT - Things I Love Thursday
Welcome to the second installment of TILT - Things I Love Thursday.
I went out to lunch with Gus this week and to my delight, I discovered that my local Deli is now stocking Byron Bay Coffee Company's Chocolate Covered Coffee Beans! Woo hoo! These are the most delicious chocolate covered coffee beans I've ever tasted. AND they come in dark chocolate - heaven!!
So today, I'm thankful for the simple pleasures in life - like finding my local deli selling one of my favourite treats. :D

I got this fabulous award from Hannah, a lovely girl I met over on UKS.
As a recipient of the award, I have to:
Now, onto today's explanation:
Many of you have indicated that you have no idea what Bubble Tea is. Well, let me explain. Bubble Teas were created in Taiwan. They are a mix (usually cold) of sweet milk tea generally flavoured with fruit (eg. mango, coconut, lychee, and our favourite - taro), and to which small balls of tapioca jelly (called boba) are added. Here's the Wiki explanation if you want to read up more about it! They are divine, especially on a warm summer day, but can be enjoyed anytime. I do believe they are available in USA and London - just look for a Bubble Tea Cafe or stall! If you haven't tried one - go on, I dare you! :D Then come back and tell me what you think. LOL
Don't forget to come back tomorrow for TILT! :D
*hugs*
As a recipient of the award, I have to:
- Thank the person who gave me the award - thanks Hannah, you're such a sweetie!! *hugs*
- Place it on my blog ----> over there and down a bit with all the other awards!
- List 3 things about myself. Hmm ... okay this is a little harder as I've already told you guys heaps of things about myself with the two other awards I've won!! Well, here goes:
- I am 5'7" or 172cm tall.
- I am currently in the strong grip of an insane craving for banana bread.
- I have only ever received one driving infringement notice - I stupidly drove though a red light camera without realising it was there!
- Post a picture that I love. This one!
I love this picture because it's the only time my dogs have ever cuddled up together. Normally Pepper doesn't like getting up-close-and-personal with Falcon, and they'll often sleep in totally separate places, so seeing this was a real treat! Getting it on camera was even better!!!
- Pass the award on to 5 deserving bloggers. Right, I'll pass the award onto:
- Kat - one of my UKS teamies. I love her work - always so detailed and gorgeous to look at!
- Jackie - another of my UKS teamies. She amazes me with the amount of layouts she accomplishes each month, even when she goes away on holidays!
- Ally - who amazes me with all the gorgeous cards she makes, even when under the weather!
- Toni - Who makes UKS CCs so much fun!
- Jo - who has my total respect because she gave her daughter tickets to Wicked. What an awesome mother!!! LOL

Bubble Tea!!!
Here's a layout I did for the Sketch & Scrap Social Group on UKS. It was following this sketch:
And here's my layout (as always, click for larger views - you'll be taken to my Flickr account as I've finally got the links to work properly!):
Some close-up photos:
Gus and I love getting bubble teas, from either Gumballs or Easyway, although we're missing both terribly as there are none of these stores out west and DEFINITELY nothing like them in the Mountains!! I might have to learn to make my own. LOL
I had lots of fun with this layout and it makes me happy because it's so bright and colourful (and fun!).
Materials used: Sassafras Lass Sunshine Lollipop papers and stickers; buttons and flower ribbon from general stash; really cute and adorable bubble tea "stickers" were made from a graphic designed by "Mepokeyou" on DeviantArt (copyright remains with Mepokeyou); pink Staedtler pen; fonts were manipulated in Illustrator; printed out from the computer and punched out with a circle punch or hand cut and I used Boring Lesson ("Bubble") and You Wish You Were A Shirley ("Tea").
Thanks for stopping by!

LSNED 4 Day Wrap-up!
Thursday 2 September 2010
Cloudy and/or wet days need not be miserable. I never realised that sitting around watching the clouds roll in over the hill from the other side of the valley could be so relaxing! I always thought mists were mysteriously beautiful, but now I realise that there's also something peaceful about the swirling currents of air - despite the fact that it's always moving, eternally changing before your very eyes.
Friday 3 September 2010
Driving whilst tired is not advisable.
Driving whilst tired AND trying to eat a McFlurry is not advisable.
Driving whilst tired and trying to eat a McFlurry AND in fairly heavy traffic is not advisable.

Driving whilst tired and trying to eat a McFlurry and in fairly heavy traffic and in bad weather AND taking a photo of it all on a mobile phone IS DEFINITELY NOT ADVISABLE!!!!!
I did eventually make it home safe and sound without incident. Lesson learned. Will not attempt this again.
Saturday 4 September 2010
I complain that I'm not a baker. In a moment of calm rationalisation, I realise that I just need to practice. Practice, practice and practice.
I have to say that these Cake Pops didn't turn out too badly for my first attempt. Not perfect looking, but perfectly edible! :D
Sunday 5 September 2010
My Cantonese is in a severe state of disrepair if the confused looks and umpteen corrections from my parents and SIL today are anything to go by. I'm definitely losing it from lack of use. :( I think I need to buy this:
Stay tuned for LSNED posts or huge updates!!
